JUNIOR BOYS U10-U13 (School Years 5-8)

Cornwall Cricket Club has one of the best run junior boys cricket programmes in the country. Whether you're a parent on the boundary or a child playing the game, it doesn't get better than a cricket game or practise at the scenic Cornwall Park!

At Cornwall, we strongly believe in being a club for the whole family. As such, we encourage parents and caregivers to involve themselves in their child's cricket at whatever level they can. If you would like to be involved as a volunteer please don't hesitate in letting our convenors know!

The Junior Boys Grades include all boys in School Years 5 - 8. By Year 6 all players playing an Auckland Cricket Association competition should be playing in their school year.

Introduction to hard ball cricket (U10 Grade)

The Under 10 Grade (Year 5) is the first year that players use a hard cricket ball and we offer a confidence course and skills session to help them get adjusted. These will be run during the School Holidays at the end of Term 3. If you miss this all Year 5 registrants will be contacted via email in early September and will be invited to enrol separately for one of the Introduction to Hard Ball courses.

The course does have a fee to cover the coaching staff and venue hire. Please note that these courses are not at all compulsory, but are a great way for players to get familiar with a hard ball and to start the season with confidence. The pre-booking of this coaching will enable Cornwall Cricket to manage the demand and logistics.

PlayHQ electronic scoring

All scoring should be done using Auckland Cricket's new live scoring and management system, PlayHQ.
This scoring platform replaces CricHQ that was previously used by Auckland Cricket.
The results of all games must be entered in PlayHQ by 5pm on the Monday after the weekend of play.

Further information and resources can be found on the Auckland Cricket website here

Backup Paper Score Sheets

Given PlayHQ is new and still being tested in live scoring environments in New Zealand, we recommend taking paper score sheets to your games as a contingency.
You can download a score sheet for printing by clicking on the link below:
